SUMMARY:
Strand - We are looking for a trustworthy, professional and well-presented Temporary Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to provide reception and general administrative support.

The successful candidate must be confident working with Excel, comfortable handling petty cash and have excellent communication and customer service skills.

Must be available for the full contract period from 23 September to 9 October 2026.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

Perform general administrative duties.
Answer and manage incoming telephone calls.
Provide professional and friendly assistance to clients and customers.
Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
Maintain organised filing systems and documentation.
Manage petty cash, including balancing and recording all cash payments and income.
Prepare and send quotations to clients.
Convert PDF documents into Excel and assist with data capturing.
Type and prepare quotations and other administrative documents.
Provide general support to the office as required.

Requirements & Competencies

Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Previous reception or administrative experience preferred.
Excellent telephone and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Trustworthy and comfortable handling petty cash.
Able to type and prepare professional quotations.
Good client and customer liaison skills.
Neat, professional and presentable appearance.
Well-organised and able to work independently.
Reliable and punctual.
Own reliable transport is essential.

Working Hours:

Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:30
Saturdays: 08:00 – 13:00, on Saturdays when normally required

Rate: R55.00 per hour
