Temporary Creditors Clerk – 4-Month Contract

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities
Based on the companies current Creditors Clerk responsibilities, the candidate will be responsible for:

• Collecting, checking and sorting delivery notes.
• Matching delivery notes to supplier invoices.
• Capturing supplier invoices onto the accounting system against the relevant delivery notes.
• Performing supplier statement and creditors reconciliations.
• Identifying and following up on outstanding invoices, delivery notes and supporting documentation.
• Preparing supplier payments and processing creditors payments.
• Preparing internet banking payments for creditors.
• Posting creditors payments to the accounting system.
• Reviewing the creditors age analysis and reconciling it to the trial balance.
• Reconciling the accrual account at month-end.
• Maintaining accurate creditors documentation and filing.
• Processing and maintaining subcontractor labour invoices and supporting documentation.
• Preparing and processing subcontractor payments, including monthly subcontractor payments.
• Assisting with journals, resource accounts and cost allocations where required.
• Ensuring creditors records and supporting documentation are complete, accurate and available for audit purposes.
• Working accurately to meet strict payment and month-end deadlines.

• Minimum 5 years’ hands-on creditors experience.
• Strong construction industry creditors experience, including exposure to construction suppliers and subcontractors.
• Proven experience completing supplier statement reconciliations and creditors reconciliations.
• Experience processing high-accuracy supplier invoices, payments and allocations.
• Good understanding of creditors age analysis, trial balance reconciliations and month-end processes.
• Experience dealing with missing invoices, delivery notes, discrepancies and outstanding reconciling items.
• Strong numerical ability and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and resolve creditors queries effectively.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to payment and month-end deadlines.
• Good communication skills when dealing with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.

• Experience on EJM would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Candidates with solid experience on other construction or accounting systems may be considered, provided they are able to learn EJM quickly.
