Sales Representative

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a driven and self-motivated Sales Representative to join their team in the Garden Route, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ sales experience within a similar industry, such as wholesale, retail, or butcheries. A valid driver’s license, own reliable vehicle, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid driver’s license.
• Own reliable vehicle.
• Minimum of 2 years’ sales experience in a similar industry, such as wholesale, retail, or butcheries.
• Driven, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Identify, contact, and secure new business accounts and customers.
• Present and sell products and services to current and prospective clients.
• Identify sales prospects and proactively contact new and existing accounts as assigned.
• Follow up on new leads and referrals generated through field activity.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients.
• Act as the first point of contact for customer queries and ensure they are resolved promptly.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Prepare and submit weekly sales reports, including activity, sales, follow-ups, and progress against targets.
• Utilize Skynamo daily to record and manage sales activities, customer information, and field movements.
• Communicate new product and service opportunities, market developments, and relevant customer feedback to the appropriate internal teams.
• Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific sales targets and plan customer contacts.
• Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
• Maintain up-to-date sales materials and product knowledge.
• Complete the necessary documentation to activate and maintain customer contracts and services.
• Participate in marketing activities, including seminars, trade shows, in-store promotions, wet demos, and telemarketing events.
• Follow up on outstanding customer payments and assist with collections where required.
• Coordinate shipping schedules and the delivery of products and services.
• Provide on-the-job training and support to new sales employees.
• Manage customer accounts through quality checks, regular follow-ups, and ongoing service.
• Liaise with the relevant telesales team members daily to ensure customer relationships are effectively managed and queries are resolved promptly.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all requirements are met to successfully close sales.
• Develop and implement targeted sales activities to assist with stock reduction.
• Assist with the implementation of marketing initiatives and plans as required.
• Ensure monthly sales targets are consistently achieved in line with agreed objectives.
• Provide support to the wider sales team as operationally required.
