SUMMARY:
Sales Representative - FMCG

Cape Town Based but will need to travel to George weekly or
George Based and 4 x days in Cape Town 

Our client is a specialist flavoured drinks, water, ice lollies and biltong products seeking an experienced and driven FMCG Sales Representative to join their growing team.

The successful Candidate will be responsible for developing new business, managing existing customers and growing sales of the company's portfolio across the Western Cape and with a particular focus on the Cape Town Market.

This is an ideal opportunity for a commercially minded sales professional who understands the FMCG environment, has established customer relationships and comfortable travelling extensively within the territory. The successful candidate will be based in George and will be expected to spend significant time in Cape Town and surrounding markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and grow sales of the company's juice and beverage portfolio across the Western Cape
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the FMCG Sector
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with retailers, wholesalers, distributors, independent stores and other relevant FMCG customers
• Manage and gr4ow an existing customer base while actively pursuing new accounts
• Conduct regular customer visits and manage the sales territory effectively
• Identify market trends, customer requirements and new business opportunities
• Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and close sales in line with company strategy
• Achieve agreed monthly and annual sales targets
• Monitor agreed monthly and annual sales targets
• Monitor competitor activity, pricing and product positioning
• Ensure excellent customer service and follow through on customer requirements
• Work closely with production, logistics and management to ensure customer expectations are met
• Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates and market feedback to management
• Represent the company professionally at customer meetings, trade vents and industry functions

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirement:

• Matric 
• 5+ years FMCG Sales experience within Cape Town / Western Cape FMCG Market
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and winning new business
• Strong understanding of FMCG Sales channels and customer buying processes
• Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills
• Strong commercial and business development ability
• Self-motivated, target driven and able to work independently
• Strong customer relationship management skills
• Valid driver's licence
