Are you a results-driven sales professional with deep expertise in the automotive components industry? A leading national wholesaler of automotive parts is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Internal Sales Representative to join their dynamic branch team in George.

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for driving counter and telephonic sales, providing expert technical advice on vehicle parts, and delivering exceptional customer service to grow the client base.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Consistently hit and exceed allocated daily sales targets.
• Proactively engage customers via phone and email to promote product lines, introduce special offers, and book visits for external sales representatives.
• Process counter cash sales (COD) and open new customer accounts to expand the client database.
• Manage backorders effectively, ensuring orders are placed and released promptly.
• Accurately issue invoices and process orders while maintaining strict control over sales codes and customer account details.
• Manage credit returns within permitted limits and enforce non-returnable policies on special orders.

Customer Experience & Relationship Management

• Deliver prompt, knowledgeable assistance to walk-in and telephonic customers.
• Ensure maximum order accuracy by correctly matching parts and applications to customer specifications.
• Proactively notify clients of any supply, logistical, or delivery delays.
• Handle customer claims, warranties, and returns strictly according to company channels and policies.
• Escalate potential account or credit limit concerns to the Branch Manager timeously.

Administrative & Operations Support

• Complete lost sales reports for unsupplied or non-competitively priced items to help drive stock optimization.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date customer files, claim records, and credit tracking.
• Represent the company at trade evenings, client events, and branch functions as required.
• Carry out general administrative and ad hoc tasks delegated by the Branch Manager.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• Experience: Proven, hands-on experience in automotive parts sales is essential.
• Track Record: Demonstrated history of consistently meeting or exceeding daily sales targets.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, auto parts, and part applications.
• Skills: High-level communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with strong multitasking and organizational capabilities.
