SUMMARY:
A well-established agricultural organisation based in the East of Pretoria is looking for a polished, organised, and tech-savvy Front Office & Research Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a dual-function role suited to someone who can hold the front office with professionalism while providing meaningful administrative, reporting, and data management support to the Research team.

POSITION INFO:
What You'll Be Doing

Managing front office operations (approx. 30% of the role) — welcoming visitors, handling calls, and ensuring a professional first impression at all times
Coordinating meeting rooms, boardroom bookings, and office logistics
Providing dedicated administrative support to the Research team, including data capturing, data management, and general research coordination
Compiling, formatting, and writing reports and presentations to support research outputs
Conducting information searches and gathering supporting research material
Drafting correspondence, taking minutes, and managing documentation
Managing and maintaining documents and workflows via SharePoint or similar platforms
Supporting day-to-day office administration as required

What You Need to Qualify

Matric plus a relevant degree or diploma (Business Administration, Research, Office Management, or similar)
1 - 2 years of experience in a front office or administrative role
Strong report writing skills, with the ability to compile and format clear, professional documents
Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience working with SharePoint or a similar document/workflow management platform
Fluent in Afrikaans and English (written and verbal)
Comfortable working with AI tools in a professional environment
Exceptionally well-presented with a professional and confident manner
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and shift between front office and research support seamlessly

Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
Friday: 08:00 – 16:00
