Brief Description:
Our client within the IT Services and IT Consulting industry is looking for a Bookkeeper

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

A degree/diploma in accounting or similar will be beneficial
Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft software programs
Previous working experience in an accounting field
Knowledge and competency in accounting policies & principles
Proficiency in management systems, specifically Sage
Evolution not negotiable
Strong Administration skills and attention to detail.
Sound interpersonal skills
Afrikaans and English

Accounting Officer Responsibilities:

Billing, invoicing and processing of credits
Liaising with Operational Department and project managers to resolve outstanding queries
Collection of outstanding payments owed by debtors
Sending out of monthly statements to customers
Sending out of invoices / PODs when requested by clients
Liaise with clients with regards to outstanding debt and payments
Assist manager with ad hoc tasks where possible
Administration of debtor accounts
Processing of invoices from bill of materials and/or quotations
Handling communications with clients via phone, email, and in-person
Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing emails, etc
Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies
Ensuring compliance with accounting and tax laws
Evaluating internal management systems, procedures, and risks in order to provide recommendations
