SUMMARY:
We’re looking for a detail-driven Financial Assistant/Bookkeeper to join a busy retail fuel business in Pretoria East. You’ll handle bank reconciliations, invoicing, debtors, creditors, payments and general financial administration.

The ideal candidate is Sage One and Excel proficient, highly organised, accurate and financially minded, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced small team.

POSITION INFO:
Duties and responsibilities:

Capturing and reconciling the bank constantly throughout the day.
Issuing sales orders and invoices, as well as ensuring data accuracy of Debtors.
Processing Creditor invoices and reconciliations, as well as validating the pricing of the creditors. Requesting corrections from Creditors
Order processing, tracking and reporting.
Updating, maintaining and reconciling various information sheets.
Loading payments on the bank.
Submitting order details and documentation on various WhatsApp groups.
Maintaining a good electronic and paper filing system.
Assisting Head of Finance and the business Owner with various tasks.
Secretarial tasks.
Ad hoc tasks.

Additional tasks:

Updating business Owner on various financial information.
Updating business Owner when Head of Finance is on leave.
Assisting with various other Head of Finance tasks when he is on leave.

Requirements:

Matric with high marks in mathematics and preferably accounting.
Financial diploma preferably.
More than 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Familiar with and able to operate a MacBook.
Afrikaans home language and fluent in English.
Sage one experience is a requirement.
Good Excel and Word experience is a requirement.
com experience is advantageous.
Client, financial and other confidentiality is highly important and not to be discussed with anyone outside the business.
Financial, calculative and forward-thinking mind.
Attention to detail.
Technology savvy and willingness to learn.
Quick to learn and understand various online portals.
Fast thinking and execution, but accuracy is highly important.
Good understanding of accounting and finance.
Double checking own work and highly focused.
Able to work in a small team.
