SUMMARY:
JOB DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:

Our client is seeking a proactive Trip Monitoring Officer to oversee and coordinate daily delivery operations. The successful candidate will ensure efficient route management, timely deliveries, minimal delays, and optimal use of resources. This role involves close communication with drivers, stores, warehouses, and management to maintain smooth operations and consistently high service levels.

POSITION INFO:
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in transport/logistics coordination or fleet monitoring

Strong time management and organizational skills
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to work under pressure and solve problems quickly
Experience using tracking software (Globaltrack or similar)
Basic reporting and administrative skills

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate would be required, but not limited to:

Plan and prioritize daily delivery stops for drivers
Communicate with stores, warehouses, and drivers to manage delivery order
Track drivers using Globaltrack software
Provide progress and delay updates to management at 9am, 12pm, and 4pm via WhatsApp
Monitor and report on daily fuel consumption
Manage returned and pickup stock, including processing relevant documentation
Communicate with factories regarding returned stock
Compile and submit weekly reports on returns and pickups
Minimize time wastage at offloading points
Reduce overtime hours driven by drivers
Resolve delivery delays by contacting stores and customer management
