SUMMARY:
Location: Kuilsriver, Cape Town Start Date: Immediate Salary: R25,000 per month (Negotiable, depending on experience)

POSITION INFO:

We are seeking a strong and experienced Senior Debtors Clerk to join a well-established organisation based in Kuilsriver. The successful candidate must be hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to manage the full debtor’s function independently.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Full management of the debtor’s book
Preparation, issuing, and allocation of invoices and credit notes
Daily processing and allocation of customer payments
Proactive follow-up on outstanding accounts to ensure timely collections
Reconciliation of debtors’ accounts and resolving account queries
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date debtor records
Preparing age analysis reports and monthly debtor reconciliations
Liaising with customers regarding account discrepancies and payment arrangements
Working closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting
Ensuring adherence to company credit policies and procedures
Assisting with audits and month-end processes

Requirements:

3 – 5 years proven experience as a Senior Debtors Clerk
Strong understanding of accounting principles related to debtors
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Relevant accounting or finance qualification
