SUMMARY:
Our client in the Logistics industry, is looking for an individual to provide excellent client service to internal and external clients by being the single point of contact regarding any queries relating to orders and developing existing client portfolio sales contribution.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Person:
  • Diploma or Degree in Administration/Logistics.
  • At least 3 years’ admin experience working in a medium to large Logistics business.
  • Experience working on Pastel, SAP, Oracle or Business Central.
  • Good mathematical and analytical ability.
  • Sales understanding and appetite for new business development.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication.
The Job:

Client Liaison:
  • Process sales orders and quotes to clients on the ERP system; confirm orders and process documentation for local and/or export markets.
  • Update clients and commercial staff on order status by means of daily communication.
  • Liaise and co-ordinate between the different departments to manage the distribution and order delivery process.
  • Manage client relations by being the single point of contact, with constant updates on their order status.
  • Ensure that all clients receive excellent service at all time.
  • Dispatch samples to clients with all requisite documents.
  • Ensure a 100% monthly call rate to all clients on your internal sales portfolio whether existing or new customers.
  • Maintain and increase the existing client portfolio overall monthly purchase values.
  • Achieve the relevant sales budget and GP target stipulated by Management through telesales or client visits.
Administration:
  • Follow up on all outstanding debt.
  • Follow-up on pre-payments with finance.
  • Ensure that all purchase orders are received from clients prior to dispatching.
  • Follow-up on all stock levels of relevant products and monitoring of incoming shipments.
  • Accurately invoice orders.
  • Check product grade, weighbridge quantity, batch numbers as per FIFO rules, pricing and delivery date.
Reporting:
  • Control all expired and damaged stock pertaining to responsible product groups.
  • Work with the Inventory Controller on how to manage the stock depletion.
  • Prepare and submit weekly reports with updates on the clients calls/visits/research conducted.
