🌱 Research Technician – Potchefstroom
📍 Potchefstroom, North West
💰 Salary: R20,000 – R30,000 per month

A leading agricultural research team is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Research Technician to join their team in Potchefstroom. The successful candidate will assist with the planning, execution, monitoring, and management of various crop trials while ensuring the accuracy and quality of research data.

Minimum Requirements
✅ Agricultural Degree or related qualification
✅ 2–5 years’ relevant experience
✅ Valid driver’s license (non-negotiable)
✅ Fluent in Afrikaans and English (read, write, and speak)
✅ Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel
✅ Strong communication and organisational skills
✅ Trustworthy, punctual, and self-motivated
✅ Willingness to travel and work overtime/weekends during peak seasons when required

Key Responsibilities
🌽 Planning and outlining statistical trials for Sunflower, Soyabean, Sorghum, and Maize
🌱 Planting, monitoring, and harvesting trials according to company protocol
📊 Collecting, capturing, and managing research and marketing trial data
✅ Ensuring the accuracy and quality of all research data
🚜 Assisting with demonstration plantings and farmer days
🤝 Supporting Marketing Managers during planting and harvesting seasons
🗂 General administration and reporting duties related to research activities
