POSITION INFO:

We’re Hiring: Research Technician | Potchefstroom, North West

Location: Potchefstroom, North West

Salary: R25 000 – R30 000 CTC

Working Hours: Monday – Friday | 08:00 – 17:00

Benefits include Provident Fund + use of a company vehicle

Start Date: ASAP

An exciting permanent opportunity is available for a detail-oriented and motivated Research Technician to join a dynamic agricultural research team.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting with the planning, execution, monitoring, and harvesting of crop trials
- Collecting, managing, and maintaining accurate research data
- Supporting demonstration plantings and farmer-day activities
- Assisting marketing and research teams during peak seasons

Requirements:

- Relevant Agricultural qualification or related experience
- 2–5 years’ relevant experience
- Strong computer literacy, especially Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English (read, write, and speak)
- Willingness to travel and work additional hours when required during peak periods

The ideal candidate will have a practical and technical mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
