An established distribution company operating within the agricultural and technical equipment industry is looking for a motivated Operations Assistant to join its team. The company supplies a broad range of specialised products and solutions to customers across various industries and is committed to reliable service, quality products and long-term customer relationships.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an energetic, early-career individual to gain practical experience across various areas of the business, including operations, administration, sales, procurement, finance, stock control, warehousing, logistics and customer service.

POSITION INFO:

Job Title: Operations Assistant / Personal Assistant

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Reports too: Operations Manager

Key responsibilities:

Provide general administrative and operational support.
Assist various departments according to business requirements.
Help coordinate internal tasks, documents and operational processes.
Capture and maintain accurate company information and records.
Assist with quotations, orders and customer enquiries.
Support stock control, procurement and logistics activities.
Follow up on outstanding tasks and help ensure deadlines are met.
Assist management with daily operational requirements.
Learn the company’s products, systems and procedures.
Identify opportunities to improve administrative and operational processes.

Minimum requirements:

Matric certificate.
A relevant qualification in business administration, operations, logistics or a related field would be advantageous.
Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
Strong communication and organisational abilities.
Good attention to detail.
A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
Reliable, professional and able to work effectively within a team.
Previous administrative or operational experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
