SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Municipal Accounts Administrator to join an established organisation based in Alphen Park, Pretoria.
This role is ideally suited to a highly organised and detail-driven professional with solid hands-on experience dealing with municipal accounts and processes. The successful candidate will take ownership of a broad portfolio of municipal-related matters, from payments and reconciliations through to queries, audits, meter readings and utility interruptions.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Manage all payments and transactions relating to municipalities.
Perform creditor reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
Conduct audits of council invoices against meter readings and relevant data.
Manage and resolve municipal queries, including account issues and name changes.
Report and follow up on electricity and water interruptions.
Provide daily reporting on queries, problems and utility recoveries.
Submit required documentation for new developments to the Quantity Surveyor (QS) and project team.
Submit meter readings to various municipalities.
Manage deposits paid to municipalities.
Follow up with municipalities to ensure outstanding matters are resolved efficiently.
Provide general support on all municipal-related matters.

Requirements

Proven experience in municipal accounts administration.
Strong knowledge of municipal processes and accounts.
Experience with creditors reconciliations and audits.
Strong query management and follow-up skills.
Experience dealing with municipal utilities, including electricity and water.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team
