Lodge Manager

SUMMARY:
A secluded, four-room Big Five safari camp in the Eastern Cape is seeking an experienced and confident LODGE MANAGER to lead their small, dedicated team

POSITION INFO:
This role calls for a self-sufficient operator with a genuine passion for the bush and a natural ability to create memorable guest experiences. Someone who can manage the full scope of a compact, intimate camp with professionalism and warmth.

Core Criteria:

• Proven experience as a Lodge Manager or Assistant Lodge Manager in a luxury safari environment
• Valid driver's licence essential
• Strong leadership, guest relations and operational skills
• Experience managing a small team in a remote bush setting
• Sound understanding of stock control, administration and day-to-day lodge management
• Calm under pressure, reliable, and highly self-motivated

• Manage all aspects of daily lodge operations to the highest standard
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a small front-of-house team
• Oversee guest relations from pre-arrival through to departure
• Maintain and uphold service, presentation, and hospitality standards throughout
• Manage stock control, ordering, and basic administrative functions
• Liaise with management and relevant departments to ensure seamless camp operations
• Ensure the property is maintained and presented impeccably at all times

• Salary: R15,000 - R18,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience
• Live-in position: accommodation and meals on duty included
