POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks.

Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients as directed.

Ensure ingredients and supplies are readily available during service.

Assist with plating and preparation of menu items when required.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and storage areas.

Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.

Clean workstations, floors, walls, and food preparation areas.

Dispose of waste and recyclables according to company procedures.

Follow all food safety, HACCP, and hygiene regulations.

Receive and check deliveries against orders.

Store stock correctly in dry, chilled, and frozen storage areas.

Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.

Report shortages, damaged stock, and supply issues to management.

Comply with all health and safety regulations and company policies.

Wear the required PPE and kitchen uniform at all times.

Report hazards, accidents, equipment faults, and safety concerns immediately.

Ensure safe use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Work closely with chefs, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service.

Support all kitchen operations during busy service periods.

Assist with opening and closing duties.

Perform additional duties as requested by management.
