SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Junior Construction Manager in Sandton.

POSITION INFO:
Roles and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate construction activities across multiple sites.
Supervise and manage subcontractors, ensuring work meets specifications and programme.
Monitor site progress, workmanship, materials and resources.
Conduct site inspections, snagging and handovers.
Assist with health & safety compliance, inspections, toolbox talks and documentation.
Maintain daily/weekly site records, progress and photographic reports.
Track RFIs, snags, site instructions and outstanding work.
Assist with project programmes, measurements and progress claims.
Attend site/project meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, engineers and subcontractors.
Identify and escalate construction, quality, programme and safety issues.

Minimum Requirements:

Relevant Construction Management, Building Science, Civil Engineering qualification or relevant practical site experience.
SHE/H&S Representative qualification and practical experience – required.
Previous construction/site experience.
Experience coordinating/supervising subcontractors.
Ability to read drawings and understand construction processes.
Good MS Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites.

Advantageous:

Site Supervisor, Site Agent or Junior Construction Manager experience.
Commercial, industrial or civil construction experience.
Experience with MS Project, Primavera, Procore or similar.
Own reliable vehicle and additional H&S qualifications.
Ideal Candidate: Hands-on, proactive, organised and confident dealing with subcontractors and multiple project sites.
