POSITION INFO:

We are looking for an experienced Customer Service Manager to oversee customer service operations, delivery route planning, and order fulfilment activities within the distribution centre. This role is responsible for maintaining service excellence, managing customer relationships, coordinating logistics activities, and leading a high-performing customer support team.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure customer contractual service levels are achieved and maintained.
• Manage order fulfilment processes, including stock shortages and out-of-stock recovery plans.
• Coordinate promotional, new product, and test product launches.
• Resolve customer complaints and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage raw product complaints and recall communications.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement.
• Ensure customer contact information is accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate new store openings and provide process training to new store personnel.
• Oversee daily delivery route planning and communicate schedule changes timeously.
• Monitor vehicle movements and delivery performance, ensuring customer communication regarding deviations.
• Lead, manage, develop, and coach the Customer Support team.
• Ensure compliance with HR, payroll, food safety, quality, and audit requirements.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of the Master Delivery Schedule.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field.
• 5–7 years'' experience in Customer Support Management.
• Minimum 2 years'' supply chain experience within an FMCG or Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) environment.
• Minimum 1 year''s international supply chain experience.
• Minimum 1 year''s SADC export/general export experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with MS Great Plains and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
