Internal Sales Consultant

Purpose of the Role

To provide excellent customer service, generate sales, manage customer relationships, and support business growth through showroom sales, quotations, follow-ups, and scheduled client visits.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers with product selection, preparing quotations, converting enquiries into sales, and developing relationships with clients through regular communication and site/customer visits.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Service

• Assist walk-in customers and incoming sales enquiries.

• Build strong relationships with new and existing customers.

• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions.

• Prepare accurate quotations and follow up to secure orders.

• Achieve monthly sales targets and revenue objectives.

• Maintain excellent customer service throughout the sales process.

Client Visits & Business Development

• Attend scheduled customer appointments and site visits.

• Meet with contractors, developers, designers, and homeowners.

• Identify new sales opportunities and develop customer relationships.

• Present product solutions and provide advice on suitable applications.

• Follow up on leads generated from visits and enquiries.

Administration

• Capture sales orders accurately.

• Maintain customer records and sales activity reports.

• Monitor outstanding quotations and follow-up activities.

• Work closely with stock, logistics, and administration teams.

• Ensure customer expectations are managed regarding availability and delivery.

Requirements

• Previous sales experience (building materials, tiles, hardware, décor, kitchens, bathrooms, or related industries advantageous).

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Target-driven with the ability to close sales.

• Confident dealing with customers face-to-face.

• Valid driver's licence.

• Own transport advantageous.

• Computer literate (MS Office / sales systems).
