Our client is a leading South African distributor and processor of steel and related products, serving customers across manufacturing, mining, engineering, construction, and industrial sectors. They are recognised for their extensive product offering, technical expertise, customer-focused solutions, and commitment to delivering quality products and services to a diverse market.

The successful candidate will provide technical sales support, prepare quotations and sales orders, liaise with customers, procurement, production and distribution teams, and ensure on-time delivery of customer orders. Responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings, creating and revising designs, sourcing materials, managing project-related enquiries, following up on quotations, and contributing towards sales and profitability targets.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Grade 12 and a relevant tertiary qualification in Draughting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum 3 years' experience within the steel, manufacturing, engineering, mining, or construction industries.
Strong ability to read, interpret, and work from mechanical and technical engineering drawings.
Experience with AutoCAD, CAD software, or technical draughting systems, with the ability to create and amend drawings.
Strong sales administration, quotation, customer service, and relationship management skills, supported by proficiency in Excel and ERP systems such as SAP
