Position: Hotel Front Desk Receptionist
Location: Cape Town

Hospitality Hire is recruiting for enthusiastic and experienced Hotel Front Desk Receptionist to join the Front Office team of a well-established hotel in Cape Town.
This is an exciting opportunity for energetic, guest-focused hospitality professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional service. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be the first point of contact for guests, creating memorable first impressions while ensuring every arrival, stay and departure is handled with professionalism, efficiency and genuine hospitality.

Minimum Requirements

Recognised Hospitality qualification preferred
- Minimum 1 to 2 years' experience as a Receptionist within a 4 or 5-star hotel environment
- Proficiency in Opera PMS is essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Well presented with a professional and confident manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional telephone and email etiquette
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Good financial acumen and cash handling ability
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Friendly, positive and guest-focused attitude
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Fluent in English
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, evenings and public holidays as operationally required

What You'll Be Doing
Guest Services

Deliver a warm and professional welcome to every guest
- Complete guest registrations, check-ins and check-outs efficiently
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries, requests and concerns
- Provide information regarding hotel facilities, services and local attractions

Front Office Operations

Manage reservations, room allocations, amendments and cancellations
- Ensure all Front Office policies and procedures are consistently followed
- Complete end-of-day procedures and Front Office reporting accurately
- Maintain an organised, professional and welcoming reception area

Payments and Administration

Process guest payments and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
- Prepare guest invoices and assist with billing enquiries
- Respond to telephone calls and email enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Capture and maintain accurate guest information using Opera PMS

Teamwork and Operational Support

Liaise effectively with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage and other departments to ensure exceptional guest experiences
- Follow all health, safety and company procedures
- Assist with additional Front Office duties as operationally required
