An opportunity has arisen with our client in the manufacturing industry for an HR and Payroll Officer in Gqeberha. Successful candidate to start in 2023.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:
  • Weekly processing and releasing of all hourly employees (600-800 employees)
  • Invoicing and billing of labour broker costs
  • Ensuring deductions and earnings are accurate and processed accordingly
  • Printing and issuing of pay slips timeously
  • Month end reconciliation and payment of all third parties
  • Posting of wages journals and general ledger
  • Record keeping of leave and bonus provision report
  • E-filing and submission and payment of PAYE, UIF, SDL for both salaries and wages
  • Preparing termination packs and payments for employees, etc.
  • Linking of all new recruits for weekly to monthly company rule
  • Linking all market and acting allowances
  • Linking all new medical aid new starts and sending paperwork to medical aid
  • Reconciling Medical Aid Billing
  • Preparing for DOL Audits and Annual Audits
  • Annual SARS year-end submissions
  • Annual COIDA/RMA Submissions and Estimations
  • Implementing annual increases according to main agreement
  • Submitting all TTD’s and SOE’s for new IOD cases
  • Loading of all new upgrades and WSNQ’s
  • Administration of benefit funds (retirement and medical aid)
  • Undertake other duties commensurate with the post
Requirements:
  • Applicant must have passed and be in possession of a Matric certificate
  • A recognised post Matric HR Diploma is essential
  • Must have at least 2 years’ relevant Payroll experience in an HR environment
  • Working knowledge of Sage 300 People or similar system is a requirement
  • Must be competent in Excel (assessment can be done)
  • The ability to apply various Policies
  • Knowledge of LRA, BCEA, MEIBC
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be prepared to undergo a PPA assessment
