Job Description:

The Engineering Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Evander. Responsibilities include Project Management, Maintenance Management,Failure Analysis, Continuous Improvement and Manufacturing, Coordinating project execution, and ensuring that technical solutions meet operational and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include managing engineering workflows, overseeing software and systems integration efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and resolving technical issues that arise during projects. The Engineering Manager will also monitor project timelines, support continuous improvement initiatives, and mentor team members to foster professional growth and high performance.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Engineering Management and Project Management skills to oversee complex initiatives and deliver results on time and within scope.
Candidates should possess Team Leadership and Integration skills to guide multidisciplinary teams and align systems and processes across projects.
Candidates should possess Software Development skills to understand and support technical solutions, tools, and platforms used in engineering operations.
Candidates should possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities to collaborate effectively and resolve technical and organizational challenges.
Relevant bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field; advanced degrees or professional certifications in management or engineering are an advantage.
Experience working in industrial, drilling, or resource-focused environments, with a strong commitment to safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
Analytical, innovative and self driven.
Knowledge of drilling and underground coal mining machinery.
