Debtors Controller

POSITION INFO:

A well-established company based in Pinetown is seeking an experienced Debtors Controller to join their accounts team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage collections across allocated debtor portfolios
• Allocate payments accurately
• Reconciliation of debtors accounts
• Handle all debtors queries
• Compile monthly debtors reports for the Accounts Manager
• Maintain an appropriate age analysis
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Process credit notes after verification
• Assist the Accounts Manager with ad hoc tasks
• Maintain and update debtor schedules and reporting tools in Excel
• Daily full function debtors control and updating of the Omni System
• Daily allocation of payments received into branch or bank accounts
• Monthly debtors reporting with latest updates for management
• Ensure all queries are followed up consistently until resolved
• Manage key accounts within the allocated portfolio

Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a debtors role
• Strong reconciliation skills
• Excellent telephonic and communication skills
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving ability
• Excellent time management and ability to work in a high-pressure environment
• Attention to detail and professional presentation
• Proficient in accounting software
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas and reporting
