Debtors Administrator

SUMMARY:
A leading Retail company based in Sandton is looking for a Debtors Administrator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be looking to grow and learn within a dynamic company.   

POSITION INFO:
Education:

• Completed Matric
• Finance qualification will be advantageous

• At least 3 – 5 years’ experience within a similar role
• Retail industry experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
• Computer literacy is essential (particularly Outlook, MS Excel, and Word)
• Ability to work independently and handle high volumes of transactions.
• Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Team player

• Prepares daily sales analysis report.
• Prepare, check, and post statement banking daily which includes direct deposits, card payments and payment portals.
• Payment allocations from customers to correct accounts.
• Reconciling of cash sale accounts for various branches weekly.
• Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes.
• Debtors query resolutions.
• Debt collections, following up with customers regarding account status and payment.
• Send out month end debtors’ statements timeously.
• Weekly and monthly debtors reporting, including age analysis.
• Responsible for keeping an attendance register for the company, capturing of leave forms, ensure all leave are approved.
• Liaison with the banks with regards to credit card machines, arrange replacement machines, report faulty machines etc.
• Arrange and performs various office administration tasks when required.
• Responsible of labelling monitors and computers and update computer schedule as well as logging tickets for any internal computer equipment/software issues.
