A well-established organisation is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their Finance team. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective collection of outstanding payments, managing cash sales processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting internal teams with financial queries and administration.


The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow while ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Credit Control & Collections

• Ensure effective and timely collection of outstanding customer payments
• Monitor customer accounts and ensure adherence to agreed payment terms
• Follow up on overdue accounts via phone and email
• Accurately allocate incoming payments to customer invoices
• Reconcile outstanding debtor accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Escalate defaulting accounts to management where necessary
• Block customer accounts where payment terms are not met

• Ensure all cash sales are recorded and allocated accurately at the time of sale
• Confirm that cash transactions are only processed once funds reflect in the bank
• Maintain accurate records of all cash transactions

• Provide prompt and professional communication with customers regarding invoices, statements, and outstanding balances
• Distribute invoices and statements to customers in a timely manner
• Support internal teams with financial queries and documentation
• Maintain detailed records and notes regarding customer accounts and payment commitments

• Ensure all required FICA documentation is obtained and verified
• Review credit applications for completeness before submission
• Capture credit applications on relevant credit management systems
• Ensure adherence to company financial and compliance policies
