SUMMARY:
A fast-moving and high-volume organization is looking for a confident, driven Credit Controller to join their finance team.

POSITION INFO:

Based in Johannesburg North, this opportunity suits someone who can handle volume, think independently and bring fresh ideas to improve processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct credit checks for new and existing customers
Create and maintain customer accounts
Manage collections, overdue follow-ups and issue demand letters
Capture and allocate customer payments accurately
Prepare and distribute statements and invoices
Negotiate and monitor payment plans
Place accounts on hold where necessary
Manage customer queries professionally and efficiently
Process debit order runs
Perform reconciliations, refunds and journals
Prepare reports, age analysis and assist with risk management
Provide audit support and documentation
Assist with current process improvements and introduce innovative ideas

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Diploma or Degree in Finance / Accounting (if no experience)
OR a minimum of a Level 4 Credit Management Certificate (if experienced)
Experience within logistics, FMCG, wholesale or similar industries
Strong exposure to high-volume credit control environments
Advanced MS Excel (non-negotiable)
Experience on Accpac or MS Dynamics (essential)
Strong understanding of risk management and credit processes
Confident, assertive and comfortable operating in a bold, fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure
