Job Purpose

The Corporate Employee Benefits Specialist is responsible for driving new business sales of employee insurance solutions, with a strong focus on the Staff Cover product. This role involves engaging directly with business owners and decision-makers, delivering tailored solutions, and building long-term client relationships to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking and online platforms
• Generate and manage leads, including self-sourced and company-provided opportunities
• Conduct professional, engaging sales presentations to business owners and key decision-makers
• Drive face-to-face B2B sales and close high-value deals
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure retention and referrals
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client service delivery
• Maintain accurate records using CRM systems and sales tools
• Adapt to evolving business needs and contribute to continuous improvement

Minimum Requirements

• Undergraduate degree
• RE5 qualification (essential)
• Minimum 1 year insurance sales experience
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans
• Based in Cape Town
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transport
• Tech-savvy with working knowledge of CRM systems and MS Office

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in face-to-face B2B sales to decision-makers
• Additional languages
• Willingness to travel occasionally within South Africa
