SUMMARY:
Our client, a busy and well-established hospitality operation, is seeking a skilled and reliable Hotel Chef de Partie to join their culinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate chef who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and enjoys delivering consistency, quality and teamwork during every service.
We are looking for a hands-on culinary professional who is confident running their own section, maintains high food standards, and works well within a disciplined and professional kitchen brigade.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements

• Culinary qualification or relevant professional training
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Chef de Partie or a strong Demi Chef ready to step into the role
• Previous experience within a hotel, resort, restaurant or high-volume kitchen environment
• Strong understanding of cooking techniques, food preparation and presentation standards
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Professional, well-presented and disciplined approach
• South African ID

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for your assigned kitchen section
• Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
• Ensure mise en place is prepared and service runs efficiently
• Maintain consistency, quality and timing during service

• Ensure all food is prepared to high quality and hygiene standards
• Follow kitchen procedures, portion control and plating guidelines
• Keep your section clean, organised and operational at all times
• Assist with stock rotation, stock control and waste management

• Work closely with senior chefs and support junior kitchen staff
• Assist in guiding Commis Chefs and Demi Chefs where required
• Communicate effectively during service to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Contribute to a positive, professional and team-focused kitchen culture

• Maintain speed, consistency and attention to detail during busy service periods
• Ensure all dishes leaving your section meet required standards
• Assist with daily prep planning and kitchen organisation
