Bookkeeper- Fixed Contract

One of our clients based in Muizenberg Cape Town, is looking for a Fix Contract Bookkeeper to join their team in the manufacturing Industry.

As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for accurately recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements and preparing comprehensive financial reports. Your role is pivotal in ensuring our financial data is precise, compliant with regulations, and ready for strategic use by management.

Key responsibilities:

• Financial Records: Maintain and update the company's financial records and transactions.
• Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and collections.
•  Reconciliation: Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly.
• Compliance: Conduct regular audits of financial processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support: Respond to financial inquiries and provide support to management.
• VAT Returns: Handle the processing of VAT returns and e-filing.
• FOREX familiarity
• Ability to accurately and swiftly process accounting transactions

Key qualifications and experience:

• Education: A post-matric qualification, preferably in Bookkeeping.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Bookkeeping or Accounting (essential)
• Proven proficiency in MS Office with superior Excel skills an advantage
• Competence in accounting packages, preferably Sage Evolution
• Can work with limited supervision
• Manufacturing experience would be advantageous
• Fluent in English, and a second language would be advantageous
