- Monday – Sunday
- 09:00 - 18:00
- 1x Weekend off per month + days off in the week
REPORT TO: Manager / ASM / SM / HR

PURPOSE OF THIS JOB: To ensure that the Spa’s thermal suite and outdoor garden areas are maintained to the highest standard, offering guests a seamless, tranquil experience that reflects our brand promise of providing a sanctuary where you invest in elevating spa experiences. The Facilities Coordinator supports the spa team by managing the physical environment with care, accountability, and attention to detail, enabling guests to fully connect with themselves and their surroundings.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- South African citizen OR permitted for employment
- Reliable transport within the Southern Suburbs
- Understanding of Thermal Baths / Hydrotherapies and spa/pool facilities
- Excellent guest communication and command of English - our guests are mostly international tourists
- Professionally groomed & presentable

- SAAHSP / ITEC / CIDESCO accredited qualification
EXPERIENCE:
- Experiencing working in Hydro Therapies / Spa Facilities / Gym Facilities / Hotel Facilities
- Conducting Spa Tours
- Concierge experience or similar in hospitality environment
- Day Spa experience within a Hotel or Resort or independent day spa (at least 2 years)
- Cruise Ship OR international employment experience - BONUS
- Able to perform spa therapies when operationally required - should you have the desired qualifications
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
- Oversee the daily operation and presentation of the thermal suite, ensuring spaces are serene, functional, and safe.
- Maintain the outdoor gardens, relaxation areas, and hydro facilities to reflect the Spa’s sense of peace and connection with nature.
- Regularly check that all facilities, from loungers to pools and pathways, meet cleanliness, comfort, and safety standards.
- Support spa therapists and reception team by ensuring facilities are guest-ready at all times.
- Escorting and planning of guests whereabouts during the stay with us
- Conduct daily walkthroughs of the thermal suite and outdoor spaces to identify and resolve any maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns.
- Liaise with the Maintenance and Housekeeping departments to address repairs, upkeep, and cleaning needs promptly.
- Monitor usage of facilities and proactively manage scheduling or access to prevent crowding and ensure guest comfort.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations for all facilities under care.
- Work closely with the Spa Manager to align facilities standards with guest feedback and brand expectations.
- Take accountability for facility readiness, reporting issues proactively and following up until resolved.
- Embody professional excellence by setting high standards in how spaces are cared for and presented.
- Invite feedback from team members and management to improve operations and guest satisfaction.
- Manage resources responsibly, ensuring energy and water usage in thermal suite areas are efficient and mindful.
- Support the Spa’s commitment to nature by ensuring gardens are nurtured in line with sustainable practices.
- Strong eye for detail and pride in maintaining beautiful, functional environments.
- Proactive problem-solver with a hands-on approach.
