Accounts Payable Clerk / Bookkeeper

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and accurate Accounts Payable Clerk / Bookkeeper to join their team in Lynnwood, Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a relevant Diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or a similar field, with at least 3 years’ experience working on an ERP system. Strong Excel and general computer skills, excellent reading comprehension, and the ability to work accurately with repetitive tasks are essential. Previous experience in billing and/or a legal environment will be advantageous. The successful candidate must be fluent in English, able to work well under pressure, and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working on an ERP system.
• Fluent in English; Afrikaans will be advantageous.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat or another PDF editing software.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy are essential.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Previous experience in billing and/or within a legal firm will be advantageous.
• Strong reading comprehension skills are essential.

• Manage the accounts payable function, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Process payments accurately and timeously, ensuring all transactions are completed within required deadlines.
• Maintain accurate and well-organized financial records and documentation for auditing and compliance purposes.
• Assist with month-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and financial reporting.
