Role Overview

The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for managing the full accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, maintaining reconciliations, and supporting month-end financial activities. This role is critical in maintaining strong supplier relationships and ensuring financial integrity across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify supplier invoices in line with company policies
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently
• Prepare and execute payment runs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Assist with month-end processes, including reconciliations and journals
• Generate accounts payable reports (e.g. aging, cash flow insights)
• Support audits by providing relevant financial documentation
• Ensure supplier compliance (including BBBEE requirements)
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and monitor balances
• Process GRVs and validate supplier invoice accuracy

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor qualification in finance or related field
• Minimum5 years’ experiencein accounts payable / creditors
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and reconciliations
• Experience working onPastel Evolution or similar systems
• Advanced Excel skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
