ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

CAPE TOWN, CBD

R18 000 CTC PER MONTH

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in an accounts payable or accounts assistant role
Experience in a high-volume processing environment is essential
Strong Excel proficiency required.
Experience with Sage Evolution 200 (advantageous)
Understanding of basic accounting principles.
Experience maintaining PAYE records or similar registers (advantageous)
Process high volumes of creditor invoices accurately and efficiently
Prepare, capture, and reconcile supplier accounts
Assist with weekly and monthly payment runs
Perform creditor reconciliations and resolve queries timeously
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Support the upkeep of freelance PAYE registers and related documentation
Assist with general accounts administration as required.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures
Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP/SLOOKUP, basic formulas, data sorting/filtering)
Experience with Sage Evolution / Sage 200 is a strong advantage
High accuracy and excellent attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to collaborate effectively within a small team
Team-oriented and supportive
