Support the finance department with high-volume creditors processing and essential administrative functions. Great fun team to be part of based in CBD Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

Are you a reliable, detail-oriented Accounts Assistant who can support the Finance department with high-volume creditors processing and essential administrative functions?

You are a strong team player with excellent organisational skills, the ability to work under tight deadlines, with solid experience in accounts payable processes.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 - 3 years experience in an Accounts Payable or Accounts Assistant role
Experience in a high-volume processing environment - essential
Strong EXCEL proficiency
Experience with SAGE EVOLUTION 200 - to your advantage
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
Experience maintaining PAYE records or similar registers

Responsibilities:

Process high volumes of creditor invoices accurately and efficiently
Prepare, capture and reconcile supplier accounts
Assist with weekly and monthly payment runs
Perform creditor reconciliations and resolve queries timeously
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Support the upkeep of freelance PAYE registers and related documentation
Assist with general accounts administration as required
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures
Liaise professionally with suppliers, internal departments and team members

Ability to collaborate effectively within a small team
Problem solving mindset and proactive attitude
Methodical and organised
