SUMMARY:
Our client in the manufacturing industry has a vacancy for a Warehouse Manager in Umbilo Durban.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management: Oversee the entire inbound/outbound workflow, including receiving, sorting, picking, packing, and dispatch.
Cold Chain & Quality Control: Monitor temperature, humidity, and hygiene standards (FSSC 22000, HACCP) to ensure product freshness.
Inventory Control: Perform stock takes, cycle counts, and reconciliation with ERP systems to minimize losses.
Team Leadership: Supervise warehouse staff (typically 10-20+ people), including training, shift scheduling, and performance monitoring.
Compliance & Safety: Adhere to OHS Act requirements and company, health, and safety regulations.
Reporting: Produce weekly/monthly reports on KPI performance, stock levels, and discrepancies.

Requirements

Experience: 3–7 years of experience in warehousing and inventory management, preferably in a FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or fresh produce (cold storage) environment.
Education: A Bachelor''s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is often required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Microsoft Office (specifically Excel).
Logistics Knowledge: Experience with fleet control, loading, and distribution.

Typical Working Conditions

Environment: Fast-paced, frequently cold storage/warehouse environments.
Hours: May include early mornings, night shifts, or weekends to meet dispatch schedules.
Position Type: Often a "hands-on" leadership role.
