SUMMARY:
Our client in the manufacturing industry has a vacancy for a Distribution Supervisor in Umbilo Durban.
POSITION INFO:

The Distribution Supervisor will report directly to the Distribution Manager.
Main Purpose/Objectives of the Job:
- Processes answering machine Orders (Weekdays & Sundays), by:
Taking messages from the answering machine, capturing orders onto MFG Pro and creating invoicing accordingly.
Routing invoices onto roadshow to create trip lists.
Printing invoices, pick lists and customers lists for Drivers from MFG , Pro.
Reconciling the Trip list to the Customer list and addressing discrepancies as required.
Reconciling outgoing stock against pick lists.
2. Assists with stock control, by:
Completing back flushing utilizing a Back Flushing Worksheet provided by the Production Team and checking the stock in the finished product warehouse.
Capturing new stock items into MFG Pro.
Completing daily and weekly stock counts in Finished goods and Factory Shop to reconcile figures to MFG Pro.
Investigating discrepancies, troubleshooting as required and providing feedback to the Distribution Manager.
Adjusting MFG Pro as per outcome of investigation.
3. Provides early morning support, by:
Unlocking the site in the Mornings.
Manning the telephones in Distribution until the start of shift at 8am.
4. Leading a team of Drivers and Van Assistants, by:
Capturing leave for the Drivers and Van Assistants in the team.
Assisting in the management of resource allocation (Human resources and vehicles) and communicating to affected parties as required (direct).
Assisting team members with daily planning.
Utilising driver debriefing feedback to address concerns in the trade and or discrepancies brought forward.
Participating in knowledge-sharing and problem solving one on one sessions with team members as required.
Listening effectively and encouraging the open expression of ideas and opinions within the team.
Motivating and encouraging employees to continuously improve processes within the team.
OUTPUTS
Answering machine orders are captured accurately onto MFG Pro.
Invoices, pick lists, Customer lists and Trip Sheets are created for all Drivers daily.
Correct stock is distributed according to pick lists, and this is double checked prior to dispatch.
Stock movements are captured into MFG Pro and correct stock information is readily available through the system.
Stock discrepancies are identified, investigated and reported regularly.
Driver and Van Assistant teams are managed correctly and are lead according to Sir Juice culture and requirements.
Work on site starts promptly in the mornings and all employees have access to the building.
Education and Experience:
Completed Grade 12
Tertiary qualifications an added advantage
Experience in a FMCG sales environment would be advantages
2+ Years’ experience in a similar
Microsoft -Excel, Outlook, Word
