Truck Sales Executive

Location: Boksburg & Germiston / East Rand, Gauteng

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is seeking an experienced and target-driven Truck Sales Executive to operate across its dealerships in Boksburg and Germiston.

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business, developing strong customer relationships and managing the complete truck sales process. This is a hands-on sales role requiring consistent prospecting, effective customer engagement, accurate sales administration and the ability to achieve demanding vehicle sales targets.

Previous FUSO sales experience is advantageous but not essential. Candidates must have at least four years’ truck sales experience and be willing to develop strong knowledge of the FUSO product range.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prospect and canvass for new truck sales opportunities.

• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers.

• Build lasting relationships with new and existing customers.

• Understand customers’ operational and vehicle requirements and recommend suitable solutions.

• Prepare quotations, sales proposals and vehicle offers.

• Conduct professional follow-up calls and maintain regular contact with prospective customers.

• Arrange and facilitate vehicle demonstrations and test drives.

• Coordinate the evaluation of pre-owned vehicles where trade-ins are involved.

• Negotiate commercial terms and successfully close sales.

• Achieve agreed monthly truck sales and volume targets.

• Participate in promotional activities, dealership events and other sales initiatives.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and sales information.

• Complete all sales documentation and administration accurately and timeously.

• Manage each sale efficiently from the initial enquiry through to vehicle delivery.

• Deliver a professional customer experience and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Remain informed about the commercial vehicle market, competitor activity and customer trends.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 or Matric.

• A valid South African driver’s licence.

• At least four years’ proven truck sales experience.

• A demonstrated record of achieving truck sales and volume targets.

• Strong knowledge of the commercial vehicle and truck sales environment.

• Willingness to learn and develop detailed knowledge of the FUSO product range.

• Willingness to obtain a Code 14 or EC driver’s licence if not already held.

• Previous FUSO vehicle sales experience will be advantageous.

• Experience using Kerridge or Autoline will be advantageous.

• FUSO sales certification will be advantageous.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is a target-driven truck sales professional with at least four years’ relevant experience and a proven record of achieving volume targets. They will be confident in prospecting for new business, building lasting customer relationships, negotiating and closing deals, while maintaining accurate sales administration. Previous FUSO, Kerridge or Autoline experience will be advantageous, but a strong willingness to learn the product range and relevant systems is essential.

REMUNERATION AND BENEFITS

A competitive, market-related salary of between R15,000 and R20,000 a month. Additional benefits include:

The final remuneration package will be discussed with suitably qualified candidates and will depend on relevant experience.
