Trails Guide

SUMMARY:
A luxury safari lodge in Louis Trichardt, Limpopo is seeking an experienced and professional Trail Guide to join their team.
The successful candidate will conduct guided safari activities and bush experiences while ensuring guest safety, delivering informative experiences and maintaining exceptional guest relations.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience as a Trail Guide/Field Guide
- Relevant FGASA qualifications advantageous
- Previous luxury lodge or safari experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of wildlife, ecology and the bush
- Excellent guest relations and communication skills
- Professional, confident and safety conscious
- Valid Driver's Licence essential
- First Aid qualification advantageous
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and willing to assist with lodge operations when required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct guided bush walks and safari activities
- Provide informative interpretation of wildlife and the environment
- Ensure guest safety and comfort at all times
- Deliver professional and memorable guest experiences
- Build strong relationships with guests
- Maintain guiding and safety standards
- Assist with guest activities and special requests
- Work closely with lodge management and the guiding team
- Maintain guiding equipment and report any issues
- Assist with general lodge operations when required

PACKAGE:
- Salary: R12,500 – R15,000 per month, depending on experience
- Live-in accommodation and meals to be discussed

LOCATION: Louis Trichardt – Limpopo

COUPLE OPPORTUNITY:
Couples will be considered where one person fills the Trail Guide position and the other takes the Reservationist/FOH position.
