SUMMARY:
An exclusive private game reserve bordering a World Heritage-listed national park in the far north of Limpopo is seeking an experienced SENIOR GUIDE / RESERVATIONIST COUPLE to join their team.
POSITION INFO:
This role is open to single applications as well as a couple - in the safari industry; one partner will lead guest experiences on foot and by vehicle as Trails or Head Guide, while the other manages bookings and guest correspondence as Reservationist. Both roles are essential to daily operations in this remote, wildlife-rich setting.
Core Criteria:
- Senior Guide: FGASA qualification and relevant trails/walking qualification essential, with proven experience leading game drives and guided walks in Big Five terrain
- Reservationist: previous experience in a reservations or hospitality admin role essential
- Strong knowledge of the local flora, fauna and ecology
- Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail (Reservationist)
- Strong computer literacy, including booking and reservations systems (Reservationist)
- Confident, professional communication skills across both roles
- Comfortable living and working in a remote bush environment
- Reliable, self-motivated and able to work well as part of a small team
Core Responsibilities:
Senior Guide
- Lead game drives and guided walks, ensuring guest safety at all times
- Share knowledge of wildlife, ecology and conservation with guests
- Maintain firearm competency and adhere to all safety protocols
- Mentor and support junior guiding staff where required
Reservationist
- Manage and coordinate all guest bookings and reservations
- Handle guest correspondence via email and telephone
- Liaise closely with the guiding and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth guest flow
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, rates and availability
- Assist with general administrative duties as required

- Trails Guide R12,500-R15,000
- Head Guide R15,000-R25,000
- Reservationist R9,500 per month
