System Administrator

SUMMARY:
Hospitality Technology Company offering an integrated cloud-based PMS system based in Somerset West is currently recruiting for a Systems Administrator.
 
You will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and improving internal and client-facing infrastructure. You will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of servers, networks, cloud environments, backups, and business systems. You will work closely with development, support, and implementation teams to provide a stable and secure technology environment that supports their hospitality software solutions.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:
 
Monitor and maintain company servers, cloud infrastructure, and network environments.
Manage Microsoft 365 users, permissions, licenses, and security policies.
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and supporting services.
Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and patch management.
Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues.
Manage backup processes and regularly test disaster recovery procedure
Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, network equipment, and security systems.
Provide second-line and third-line technical support to internal staff and consultants.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees, including account creation and access management.
Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and infrastructure changes.
Investigate and resolve infrastructure, connectivity, and security-related incidents.
Support cloud-based platforms, hosting environments, and Azure services.
Monitor security alerts and implement appropriate remediation actions.
Work closely with developers to support deployment processes and infrastructure requirements.
Assist with hardware procurement, setup, and asset management.
Manage endpoint security, antivirus solutions, and device compliance.
Participate in after-hours maintenance and emergency support when required.
Assist with infrastructure projects and technology improvements as required.
 
Requirements:
 
Matric certification
Relevant IT qualification, certification, or equivalent experience.
Experience administering Windows Server environments.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and routing.
Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Azure environments.
Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.
Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
