POSITION INFO:

West Rand Engineering Krugersdorp is in search of a competent Stores clerk to undertake

Inventory management, receiving, packing, and issuing materials; as well as assisting with returns and goods exchange. 

The successful candidate must be able to

• Preparing goods to customer needs for both local & exports dispatch.   
• Conduct stock counts and ensure record keeping.
• Inspect and maintain moving machinery (Forklift and/or stacker). 
• Drive a Stacker and a Pallet Jack to move goods. (must have valid license).
• Conduct own checks for accuracy and ensure bags are not damaged while packing.
• Load trucks and assist with customer collections.
• Assist with goods returned from customers. 
• Maintain good housekeeping in own work area. 
• Report unsafe working conditions.
• Load and off-load materials;
• Inspect goods received and verify accuracy in line with order description sheet. 
• Issue material in line with description sheet.
• Check and book goods for sub-contractors’ collections and deliveries. 
• Check and inspect goods received from sub-contractors before sending to stores.                                                      

The successful candidate should have the following knowledge, skills and attributes:   

• Minimum Matric.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in same/similar environment (Engineering/Manufacturing).
• Good communication written and verbal.
• A flexible team player.
• Customer focused and excellent time management.
• Must be confident, dynamic and sensitive to details.
• Must be honest, reliable and of pleasant personality.
