SUMMARY:
Stock Controller required for established business based in the Helderberg area.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key responsibilities:

Managing inventory and purchase merchandise based on the company's needs
Overseeing and coordinating regular inventory audits
Maintaining reports of purchases and prices
Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock
Entering purchase details (vendors information, invoices and pricing) into internal databases
Placing orders to replenish merchandise
Tracking shipments and addressing any delays
Overseeing storage of products, particularly of fragile items
Evaluating suppliers’ offers and negotiate profitable deals
Liaising with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality
Keeping updated inventory records (including daily shipments)
Ensuring purchases do not exceed budget

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager or similar role
Active participation in inventory audits
Excellent organization, communication and negotiation skills
Good understanding of supply chain procedures
Ability to work well with suppliers, customers and other staff members
Good interpersonal and listening skills
