SUMMARY:
Shipping Clerk required for Heidelberg / Nigel

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

Fluent in English
Shipping and logistics experience essential
Strong analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of stock management and profitability management
Proficient in MS Office
Fluent in Afrikaans and English
Valid driver’s licence

Responsibilities:

Track vessels, update shipping dates and report shipment delays.
Prepare container stock and reconcile/validate supplier orders.
Manage supplier invoices and supporting documentation.
Complete import/export and customs documentation.
Coordinate stock transfers and container deliveries between branches.
Book container loadings and arrange freight, couriers and shipment cover.
Prepare shipping cost sheets and obtain freight estimates.
Process GRNs and submit payment requests.
Liaise daily with suppliers, couriers, warehouse and stock controllers.
Monitor shipments to ensure efficient and on-time deliveries.
Handle foreign currency conversions.
