Sales Representative - Food Raw Material Ingredients

SUMMARY:
A Food Manufacturer and distributor requires the above to be responsible for calling on customers to promote confectionery and powdered drink products as well as pet food products, into the market.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements for the role:

• A relevant educational qualification in either Marketing, or Business or Food Sciences or related is preferred.  
• Previous experience having sold food raw material ingredients into the Food Manufacturing industries is preferred for the role.
• Must have strong customer engagement, client relationship building, and sales negotiations skills.
• Proficiency in meeting sales targets, analysing market trends, and developing effective sales strategies.
• Must have good organisational skills to manage client accounts and contribute to sales planning.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Responsible for identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets.
• Calling on customers to promote confectionery and powdered drink products as well as pet food products into the market.
• presenting and promoting products to prospective customers, managing client accounts, negotiating sales contracts, and providing excellent customer service.
• Coordinating with internal teams to ensure customers needs are met.
• Driving sales growth by promoting the company’s food products and packaging solutions.
• Negotiating pricing, contracts, and supply agreements with customers.
• Developing in-depth knowledge of food products, ingredients, packaging materials, and applications.
• Advising customers on suitable product selections, packaging solutions, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborating with production and quality teams to align customer requirements with manufacturing capabilities.
• Preparing weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, and territory performance reviews.
