Sales Intern

SUMMARY:
Our client in Cape Town is looking for driven and enthusiastic Sales Interns to join their dynamic automotive sales team as part of a 12-month YES Internship Programme.

Salary is R7 500

POSITION INFO:
This internship offers a valuable hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in the automotive sales and marketing industry. Successful candidates will gain exposure to the sales process, customer engagement, lead generation, marketing activities, and day-to-day dealership operations.

Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate
• Marketing or Business Management qualification 
• Valid driver's licence (non-negotiable)
• Must not have completed a YES Programme previously
• Currently unemployed
• Computer literate, with good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for sales, marketing, and the automotive industry
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Confident, energetic, and customer-focused
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment

• Assist Sales Consultants with customer enquiries and follow-ups
• Support vehicle presentations and test-drive arrangements
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, leads, and follow-ups
• Assist with preparing sales documentation, quotations, invoices, and vehicle delivery paperwork
• Participate in dealership events, activations, and promotional activities
• Conduct research on vehicle models, pricing, market trends, and competitor offerings
• Assist with updating online vehicle listings and marketing content
• Assist with lead generation and customer engagement activities
• Support marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns
• Learn to track and report on performance metrics, including lead conversions and sales targets
• Provide administrative support to the sales and finance teams
• Assist with general dealership duties as required
