SUMMARY:
Our client is an established company operating within the roofing industry, seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Executive to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, maintaining strong customer relationships and growing sales across the Midvaal, Vaal, Potchefstroom, North West and surrounding areas.
This is a field-based sales position requiring a candidate who is comfortable travelling extensively, generating new business and working independently to achieve sales targets.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Identify and generate new business opportunities within the roofing and construction sectors.
Conduct regular client visits and actively develop the allocated sales territory.
Travel to areas including Midvaal, the Vaal Triangle, Potchefstroom, North West and surrounding areas.
Promote and sell the company's roofing products and solutions.
Prepare and present quotations and follow up on opportunities.
Negotiate pricing and close sales in line with company policies and targets.
Maintain regular contact with customers and provide excellent after-sales service.
Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable roofing products and solutions.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and opportunities within the roofing industry.
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Maintain accurate customer and sales records.
Attend customer meetings, site visits and industry-related events where required.
Build and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, developers, hardware stores, wholesalers and other relevant industry stakeholders.
Provide regular sales reports and feedback to management.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric essential.
Minimum 3 years' sales experience within the roofing industry – essential.
Strong knowledge of roofing products and applications.
Good understanding of different roofing materials and profiles, including:
- IBR roofing
- Corrugated roofing
- Roof sheeting
- Metal roofing
- Flashings and related roofing products
- Other commercial and residential roofing solutions
Proven track record in achieving sales targets.
Experience in business development and new client acquisition.
Strong technical/product knowledge within the roofing sector.
Valid driver's licence.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Good administrative and organisational skills.
Computer literate, including Microsoft Office.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an experienced roofing sales professional who already understands the roofing market, products and customer base. They should have an established network within the construction/roofing industry and be confident in generating new business rather than relying solely on inbound enquiries.
