Restaurant Supervisor
Newlands, Cape Town

This opportunity is for a vibrant, energetic, and experienced Restaurant Supervisor who will be mainly responsible for jointly managing In-Room dining and ensuring that every guest receives personalised attention every time.

You will delight our guests by offering trendsetting and innovative products and outstanding service experiences and provide operational and administrative support to the Restaurant Manager and team. Part of your role will be to assist in achieving operational profitability by driving sales targets, managing costs, and setting and maintaining In-Room dining standards.

Conducting regular guest service, menu, sales, and standards training with staff so that they can offer world-class service to our guests, leading teams, encouraging teamwork and personal accountability, and promoting staff engagement and retention will form part of your responsibilities. Lastly, you will manage staff processes such as personal presentation, recruitment, performance, and conduct.

We are looking for a Restaurant Supervisor with a Matric Certificate and a relevant qualification from a recognised South African or International Educational Institution. At least 2 years' experience in a similar role in a busy, up-market hotel is a must. If you are flexible with the ability to work shifts, computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications, and have an interest and experience using various hospitality technology suites, we want to hear from you.

You are a meticulous and professional individual with outstanding communication skills. In this job, you will utilise your excellent knowledge of food and beverages, including cocktails, wines, and spirits. Your expertise in the hotel's product offerings, our competitors, and the city will be invaluable. As a team leader, you will manage and inspire your team effectively. Your strong financial management and selling skills will drive our success. You're able to work independently and use your initiative.
