POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12
• Relevant Hospitality qualification or Hotel School diploma (advantageous)
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Restaurant Manager within a 4-star or 5-star hotel, luxury restaurant, or high-end dining environment
• Proven experience managing a high-volume breakfast and lunch service
• Strong food and beverage knowledge, including breakfast operations, beverages, à la carte dining, and buffet service
• Experience using restaurant reservation and POS systems
• Hotel systems experience, including Opera PMS, will be advantageous
• Excellent communication, leadership, and guest relations skills
• Strong experience handling guest complaints and service recovery
• Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop front-of-house teams
• Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible shifts as operationally required
• South African citizen or holder of a valid South African work permit
• Professional grooming and presentation
• A fully updated CV with a professional most recent profile image and contactable reference details is essential

• Lead and manage the entire breakfast and lunch service operation from pre-service briefing through to the completion of service
• Oversee reservations, table allocations, buffet presentation, service flow, and the overall guest experience
• Welcome guests, host VIPs, and coordinate special occasions and dietary requirements
• Inspire, coach, and develop the front-of-house team
• Work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen brigade to ensure seamless service delivery
• Maintain exceptional buffet presentation, food quality, and service standards throughout service
• Develop and strengthen the team's food, beverage, and product knowledge
• Drive revenue through personalised guest engagement and strategic upselling
• Manage team performance, shift scheduling, and daily operational standards
• Ensure exceptional hygiene, food safety, and compliance standards are maintained
• Resolve guest concerns professionally while creating memorable dining experiences
• Provide operational feedback and recommendations to the Food and Beverage Manager
